You have a right to training!
The recast EWC Directive 2009/38/EC guarantees EWC members a right to training “in so far as this is necessary for the exercise of their representative duties in an international environment, without loss of wages”.
The same right to training is included in the standard rules of the 2001/86/EC Directive concerning the activities of SE representative bodies.
We believe that training is vital for effective EWCs and SE Works Councils and will gladly advise you on your right to training.
